Christantus Uche Ignites Dominant Palace Triumph at Shelbourne.

Despite entering their first-ever continental adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are learning at a rapid pace. Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that virtually secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.

A further victory in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, especially after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity

This occasion provided a chance for some of Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second game in succession.

Ex-Arsenal striker did not have wait long to get his goal, tapping home from a yard out after Uche's effort had hit the post.

The home side were hanging on desperately. Defender Kameron Ledwidge was fortunate to escape a booking for a couple of agricultural challenges on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards rattled the crossbar with a header from a corner.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of comically weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.

After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.

Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a glaring chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.

The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
